Week 4 - Player Type & Game Recommendation
Quantic Foundary classified me as a calm, spontaneous, driven, independent, and expressive gamer. The top motivators it identified for me were achievement, immersion, completion, fantasy, and design. The descriptions provided about these attributes largely aligns with my game play and, largely my learning style.
Quantic's game recommendations are pretty accurate to the games that I enjoy. There were quite a few that I have added to my wishlist or ones that are already on there. The game that I would like to play the most after some research is Child of Light.

This game has many things that appeal to me and my player type. First and foremost, it's complex storyline is completely fantasy-based. Just the little bit of the story that I have determined from the various trailers and reviews I have watched has convinced me that it's one that I will progress through very quickly, desperately needing to know what happens next. Through this I will be able to fully lose myself in the game, knowing the world-building set up in the game is immense. The game's turned-based combat style is something I used to hate within the Final Fantasy franchise until I eventually got used to it and came to prefer it. This style of combat means that it is much slower, so it keeps me calm and gives me time to plan out m next move while other NPC's or enemies have their turns. The game aesthetic itself could potentially be enough for me, the artwork is absolutely gorgeous and the music is phenomenal. Both intriguing and ramps up, which I think would propel me to meet one achievement after the next. Both aspects have won the game awards in recent years.
